How to spot genuine PULLIN underwear — and avoid buying a counterfeit
Today, we offer you an essential article: "How to recognize a real PULLIN boxer short from a fake one?" — because yes, unfortunately, many fakes circulate on second-hand platforms and especially on Vinted , and it is important to know the difference.
As a reminder: counterfeiting involves a direct violation of a right protected by intellectual property law. In France, it is classified as a criminal offense, with penalties of up to 7 years in prison and a fine of up to €750,000 in the most serious cases, particularly when committed by an organized group or via the internet.
At PULLIN, we are committed to guaranteeing every customer a quality product, carefully crafted in accordance with our values. However, when a counterfeit is purchased instead of a genuine one, it raises several issues: for you as a consumer, for our brand, for the people we work with, and for the environment. This article therefore aims to:
Every PULLIN product is crafted with premium fabrics and accessories – for example, the elastic bands are woven in Portugal and/or Italy on century-old looms, guaranteeing exceptional quality and durability . The fabrics come from Italy, Spain, or France, and are chosen for their fineness and comfort . Assembly and quality control have been carried out in Portugal since 1999 by our long-standing specialist partner, ensuring impeccable finishing .
These manufacturing requirements, combined with rigorous finishing, are what you are looking for when you buy an authentic PULLIN .
See more about Made in PULLIN .
Genuine PULLIN boxer shorts use high-quality fabrics (certified Lycra, Lyocell, organic cotton) and feature neat topstitching and flatlock seams . They should feel soft and provide good support. If the fabric seems thin, cheap, or the finishing is sloppy, beware .
Examine the belt carefully: on a genuine PULLIN model, the elastic is woven and of good quality, the "PULLIN" logo is correctly spelled, centered, and the lettering is crisp . If the belt is blurry, poorly sewn, the logo is badly made, not centered, or fraying: it could be a fake.
The inner seams are sewn with the same color thread as the elastic waistband . If your boxer shorts have a beige elastic waistband with a white logo, the seams will be beige.
Check the label attached to the elastic inside: the PULLIN logo, the inscription "French creation" , the size , as well as the mention "Made in Portugal" and the address of the head office must be included.
There is never a plastic thread to hold the label in place. In 100% of cases, our labels are attached with a small safety pin and a black cord (see photo).
The absence of a label, or a label that looks "cheap", or improbable statements: beware .
PULLIN favors original, well-centered prints with saturated colors . Check that the design is properly aligned and the print is sharp . A blurry or off-center design, or dull colors, may indicate a fake.
If the price is extremely low, much lower than what you've seen for used PULLIN underwear, that's a red flag. Boxer shorts offered at €15 and described as new with tags are very likely fake .
Check the seller's history (on Vinted or elsewhere), ask for detailed photos (elastic, stitching, label). A good seller should be able to respond. Always prioritize purchases with at least some traceability.
Even for a second-hand item, the overall condition should be good , with neat finishes . If the item looks "disposable," with prematurely worn fabric and crumbling finishes, that's another red flag .

· You are buying an inferior product : the fabric may become deformed, wear out faster, and the comfort may be less.
· You may have a bad experience using it : a cut that doesn't hold, elastic that comes loose or stretches out, colors that fade.
· You lose money : even a low price can be "expensive" if the product does not last.
Counterfeiting damages our brand image : items bearing our name but produced without our standards and requirements can harm us.
This weakens the legal economy of textile manufacturing , including the jobs, quality and responsible processes we pride ourselves on.
This encourages uncontrolled circuits that do not respect labor or environmental standards.
• Counterfeits are often manufactured with little control : low-grade, non-durable materials, potentially polluting and unethical production.
· By choosing a genuine PULLIN , you are choosing a product made in Europe , with attention to materials and processes .
• Encouraging authenticity … helps to support a more responsible supply chain.
At PULLIN, we want you to be able to buy with confidence , to enjoy our products as they were designed: with respect for quality, style, and our values .
Buying a genuine PULLIN boxer short means choosing comfort, durability , but also careful manufacturing and available customer service .
Don't be fooled by imitations: thanks to the guidelines we have provided, you now have the keys to distinguish a real PULLIN from a fake.
